Why is there insect found inside my screen?
This is a very common issue that usually occurs when any monitor is being used in a dark environment without secondary light source activated, the back-light and warmth of the monitor attracting the insects which get trapped inside the LCD layers.
Luckily this can be solved quite easily in one of the following ways:
- If the insect is still alive, you can lure it out with a light source (the monitor should be powered off and cooled down). Do not SQUISH/PRESS it under any circumstances.
- In case the insect died inside the monitor panel, you will have to wait for it to completely dry out. Then you can gently tap on the panel next to the contaminated area (avoiding to squish it) and it should fall down inside the panel, leaving the visible area.
- If it is not possible to remove the insects as described above, we can clean the panel for you in one of our service centers. Please note that this is not covered by our standard limited warranty.
We hope the shared information is helpful. If you have any questions or would like to initiate a repair request, please let us know. Thank you!
