How to Choose the Right Esports Mouse?

2019-05-19

At ZOWIE, our mission is to provide our users with the ultimate esports experience. In competitive matches, there are a lot of factors that have an impact on your gameplay. The reason why we create mice with different shapes and sizes is because we believe that everyone has their own unique preferences. Whether you are ambidextrous or use a claw/palm grip, we have multiple options to ensure maximum comfort.

To help you choose which mouse is right for you, we have separated them into different series.

Our FK series comes in three different sizes: FK1+, FK1, and FK2. The shape of the mouse is an ambidextrous design that provides flexibility for both right and left handed users. In addition, the mouse features a low-profile design, flexibility through claw or palm grip.

The ZA series also comes in three different sizes: ZA11, ZA12, ZA13 which features an ambidextrous design with a high-profile design to ensure a comfortable fit for both claw and palm grip users.

Our EC Series is a right-handed ergonomic design that comes in two different sizes and sensors. The EC1-A and EC2-A utilize the 3310 sensor while the EC1-B and EC2-B use the 3360 sensor providing a different tracking experience for the user. In addition, both mice utilize distinct mouse feet. Together, this allows users to tailor their mouse to their specific needs.

Since all of our mice feature a driverless design, we have eliminated the tedious automated software download that occurs as soon as you plug your mouse in. For our mice, you simply plug-and play. You can adjust settings such as DPI (dots per inch), polling rate, and LOD (lift-off distance) all through your mouse. Refer to the manual included in your package or our website for further instructions.

Dots per inch, or DPI is the speed in which your mouse travels across your screen. We have four settings for our DPI -- 400, 800, 1600, and 3200. A higher DPI setting such as 400 and 800 will detect smaller movements more accurately while higher DPI will travel very quickly. We selected these options as they cover a broad range of mouse speed but also are common choices amongst esports professionals. When you are ready to hop into a game, changing the “in-game” sensitivity options will assist in your playstyle. If your DPI of choice is not listed, check out some of the online eDPI calculators that can convert your DPI number of choice and translate it to all of the games you play.
