An all-black surface is the ideal color for tracking. If the mousepad has a lot of different colors, this sometimes interferes with the sensors.

And also, a dirty mousepad may impact the sensor detection, please use a wet cloth to clean your mousepad regularly.

And also, a damaged mousepad surface will impact the mouse sensor dectection as well; if any issue happens, please try the mouse on different mousepad as to clarify the issue.
