ZOWIE FK1-B mouse for Esports White Edition

The mouse has been working intermittently. Applying force against the mousepad seems to get it back in working order, and the issue does seem slightly diminished at higher DPI settings.

Is there any reason why my mouse doesn't work well on the mousepad I am using?

The LED wheel switches colors randomly without pressing or changing the DPI settings.

In the game, when I shoot and try to swap weapons with the mouse wheel quickly, it won't register the movement when scrolling.
